Happy Thanksgiving!

Here is an ADORABLE card that my mom made for her kindergarteners this year.  She got her inspiration from a 3x3 Mini Album that is shown in the Idea Book and used the Thanksgiving Set and Passages papers.  I love how she added a Gray Flannel marker "behind" the stamped images to create a shadow!  It's beautiful Mom!

Snow Day!

It snowed here in Western Washington and the kids had a great time sledding.  They finally got to wear their snowsuits that never got used last year.  We love it!

Magnifique Snowflake Card

I thought I would try my hand at the Mojo Monday Sketch 165.  If I'm ever having a creative block then checking out some of the online challenges is a great way to break out of it.  I put the recipe and directions below.

Recipe
Outdoor Denim Ribbon Rounds
Prisma Glitter
Glue Pen
Foam Tape
Corner Rounder
Piercing Tool
White Brads

Directions
  • Layer a piece of Magnifique background paper over a white card
  • Remove the guide from the Corner Rounder and punch a scalloped pattern across a piece of white cardstock
  • Place the white cardstock onto a Outdoor Denim rectangle
  • Add a larger piece of striped background paper to the bottom of the rectangle (I used the backside of the paper)
  • Pierce through the top/right of the Outdoor Denim cardstock and add 3 white brads
  • Wrap a piece of ribbon around the Outdoor Denim rectangle and tie to the right
  • Add rectangle to the card at an angle
  • For the snowflake dimensional element, sponge Crystal Blue ink all over it to cover the whole surface
  • Add foam tape to the back of the snowflake and adhere to the card in the upper left hand corner
  • Use a static bag (a child's sock with baby powder or cornstarch will work too) over the front of the card so the glitter won't stick to the surface other than the snowflake
  • Rub the glue pen all over the snowflake
  • Sprinkle Prisma Glitter over snowflake
  • Dump off excess glitter and let dry
  • Done!

Order Here!

Directions:
Randomly stamp a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cardstock and then cut or punch it into 1" squares. Pieced them together onto a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of dark cardstock. The cardbase itself is scored and folded at 1 1/2" and you just fold the other end up to meet it in the front. The dark cardstock is attached to the front using foam tape just on the right hand side so the card can open. Fun and simple! Let me know if you have any questions!

My CTMH Team

Pin It We had a team meeting last night and once a month I am reminded of what a wonderful group of women I am priviledged to work with.  In addition to getting together to learn new techniques and business ideas, we also have a great time supporting each other in other areas of our lives.  I love my team!  You are all amazing!!  Here are a few of us at LeaderShare last weekend:

Simple Nov SOTM Card

Here is a super simple card using the November Stamp of the Month: A Little Thanks.  To create the card by cutting an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock in half lengthwise to make a card that is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2.  I stamped the scalloped circle image onto a scrap of white cardstock with Smoothie ink, cut it out, pushed a silver brad through the center, and used foam tape to adhere it to the card.  I stamped the saying below it with Black ink.  (It is a distressed-looking stamp, so it is supposed to look like that.) Enjoy!
