Sledding Fun!
We received several inches of snow in Western Washington this last week and the kids couldn't wait to try out their sleds. Luckily the fun outweighed the injuries!

Masculine Sweetheart Paper Card
We made this card at my last workshop. We used the back of the pink and red plaid paper (love the gray flannel look here!) from the Sweetheart paper along with the "A Game" stamp set and a retired Birthday stamp set.

Pleated Flower Using Scallop Punch
I love the look of this flower! It is so easy too! I used the CTMH 2" Scallop Punch along with the Miracle Papers to make this card.
- Punch two circles using the CTMH 2" Scallop Circle Punch
- Use a sponge and a dark ink pad to add color to the edges of the circles
- Using the scoring blade on paper trimmer, score between every other scallop on both circles
- Take one of the circles and snip down one of the score marks to the center
- Take the other circle and cut it in half
- Accordion fold the circle and one of the half circles
- Add adhesive to each end-section and add the half circle to the full circle
- To add the flower to the card, add Liquid Glass to the parts of the flower that will touch the card
- I added a Pewter Decorative Brads to the center of the flower with Liquid Glass

Scalloped Flower using the 2" Scallop Circle Punch
Here is another fun idea using the 2" Scallop Circle Punch. Here are the simple steps to achieve this look:
- Punch a scallop circle out of cardstock
- Ink the edges using a darker ink to give it more dimension
- Cut into the circle every other scallop toward the center, leaving the center in tact (or tryi trimming each scallop)
- Use the bone folder to curve the petals similar to how you use scissors with curling ribbon
- Mount your new flower to another scalloped circle

Sweetheart Butterfly Card
Here is one of the cards we made at my workshop last Saturday. It could be a Valentine card, but it certainly can be for any occasion. I hope you will be able to join me at my next workshop on March 12th at 10:00 am. More information will be posted soon.
Item# Description
G1017 Sweetheart Workshop Kit (papers and stamps)
Z2105 Black Ink Pad
Z2166 Tulip Ink Pad
Z2193 Cotton Candy Ink Pad
X5760 Cotton Candy Cardstock
Z2163 White Daisy Ink Pad (Pigment based)
Z1151 3-D Foam Tape
Z1392 2" Scallop Punch NEW!
White Daisy Ribbon (from Ribbon Round)
All can be ordered on my website.
Notes
- The butterfly uses the stamp rolling technique where the butterfly stamp is inked with the Cotton Candy stamp pad and then the edges are rolled in Tulip ink, then stamped onto white cardstock.
- The 2" Scallop punch was used to punch out a circle of black cardstock and every other scallop was punched with a 1/16" hole punch (or you could use your Piercing Tool)
- The outer edge of the card and the black scallop circle was inked with White Daisy ink by just scraping the pad directly on the paper
- The movement stamps were stamped with black ink after the ribbon was already added to the card. That way I didn't have to worry about the ink smearing while I attached the ribbon. It takes a few minutes to dry.
- I used the bone folder to curve the wings of the butterfly
