June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Double Flap Card

I know many of you have been waiting for the June Stamp of the Month, "Life is Tweet," and it's finally here!!  From June 1st through the 30th you can order this set for $17.95 or it's only $5.00 with any order of $50 or more!

I'm priviledged to participate in the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop this month.  Over 50 consultants post different ideas using the stamp set and you can hop from blog to blog viewing these terrific ideas.  You can start here or on any of the participating blogs and eventually you loop around to them all.  If you came here from Beth's Creative Block blog then you are on the right track.  At the end of this post you will find a link to the amazing Helen's blog to click on next.  Let's get started!  Here is what the stamp set looks like:

And here is my card:

This card uses the Footloose Paper Packet, the June Stamp of the Month, and the Seaside Wooden Shapes. These can be ordered on my website HERE or through your consultant.

Paper Dimensions
  • 4 1/4" x 11" Yellow/Large Printed paper - Fold in half and then fold one side backwards
  • 5 1/8" x 8 1/4" Sand/Small Pebble Paper - Fold so it is 4 1/4 x 5 1/8

Instructions
  • Adhere the Sand/Small Pebble paper to the inside of the other piece creating flaps as shown
  • For the wooden shape, trace each hole with a Cocoa Marker and spritz it with the Spray Pen and water. Dry with a rag.
  • The bird is stamped with Brown Stazon ink and colored with watercolor pencils and the blending pen.
  • The bird and starfish are adhered to the card using Foam Tape. Just add the tape to the bottom of the starfish so the flap can easily tuck behind it to hold it in place.
Let me know if you like it or have any questions! Thanks!

Now hop on over to Helen's Hooked on Stamping Blog for the next idea!

Welcome Banner

We made these Welcome banners at my last team meeting.  The ingredients and instructions are below. Let me know if you have any tips as well!
  • My Creations Banner
  • Lucy WOTG Paper Packet (or use your favorite instead!)
  • Sponge
  • Stamp set from Lucy WOTG
  • Gray Wool Ink Pad
  • Creme Brulee Ink Pad
  • 3x3 Block
  • Foam Tape
  • Liquid Glass
  • Tombow Adhesive
  • 1/8" and 1/4" hole punches
  • Piercing Tool
  • Accents such as coordinating buttons, ribbons, sparkles, paper flowers and butterflies, waxy flax, brads

Tips:
  • (Cut 7) 1 1/2" x 12" Pink cardstock from Lucy pack scored every 1/4" and accordion folded to make yo yo's. I also used a 1/8" hole punch and punched holes down one side every 1/2" to make the paper resemble lace.
  • B&T Papers for Banner - Cut 7 banner covers using the cut on page 49 in Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Book. I cut my banners at 6 3/4" and they fit perfectly on the banner chipboards.
  • Top Borders - I used the Cricut cut that is a scalloped border with holes in the scallops found on page 64 in the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Book (use the Font button) Cut 7 in Colonial White if possible
  • I used 3" letters from the Cricut cartridge to spell "Welcome" in Colonial white
  • I stamped the letters with the flowers from the Lucy Workshop on the Go stamp set. The outline of the flower is stamped in 2nd generation Gray Wool and the petals are stamped in 2nd generation Creme Brulee
Let me know if you have any questions! All products can be purchased on my website.

Floating Sentiment Card Using CTMH Pemberley Workshop on the Go Stamp Set and Papers

Last week was the busiest week of the year for our family.  We have 3 birthdays in our immediate family, plus my nephew's birthday all within one week.  Then on top of that we have baseball practices and games, doctor's appointments, our puppy was spayed, etc etc.  Whew! Now it's time to get back in my craft room and make some Thank You cards!  I commissioned the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to do most of the work for me.  It cut out the cards, background paper, and center tag.  I used the beautiful papers and stamp set from the Pemberley Workshop on the Go Kit and I just couldn't go wrong.

The Floating Sentiment card is so much fun and easy.  I used a 1/8" hole punch to notch a tiny bit out of the sides of the cards so the Waxy Flax would stay in the center.  I threaded the Waxy Flax through the holes in the center tag and just tied it in back.  Here are a few different views:

All supplies can be ordered on my website or you can come to my workshop on Saturday, May 19th and make one for yourself!
