Snoqualmie Falls

We took a day trip to Snoqualmie Falls this weekend and it was so much fun.  It was wonderful to see such a beautiful place in our great state.  It was difficult to avoid the huge cranes at the top of the waterfall in the shot, but hopefully they aren't too noticable.  They are working on a hydroelectric power system that should be finished in 2013 and then we can hike down to the bottom of the trail for an even more breathtaking view.  Of course after I got home I read a tip from Scott Kelby in "The Digital Photography Book" about how to take great photos of waterfalls.  (I highly recommend his books BTW.)  I think I did a pretty good job without a tripod though.  :o)
