I made this card for my mom's birthday a few days ago and she loved it, but she's my mom so she has to like it anyway. :o)
Recipe:
Black Ink Pad
Heavenly Blue Ink Pad
Juniper Ink Pad
Buttercup Ink Pad
Silouette Level 2 Paper Pack - Polka Dot Piece - 2" x 4 1/4"
Heavely Blue Cardsock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Buttercup Cardstock - 4" x 5 1/4"
Black Cardstock - 3 3/4" x 5"
White Daisy Cardstock 3 1/8" x 4 7/8"
Text Weight Paper
Glue Pen
Round Sponge
Directions:
Using a black ink pad, stamp the flower onto the corner of your White Daisy CS and also onto your text weight paper. Cut out the flower from the text weight paper and add a few dots of glue pen to it and let dry. Once dry, place the text weight flower over the flower on the cardstock as your mask. Tip: Look at the center of the flower to help match up the mask. Holding the mask in place, ink up your sponge with Heavenly Blue ink and drag the sponge from the edge of the flower out toward the edge of your card on all sides (like a sunburst, duh!). Now turn your mask slightly to the right or left and do the same thing with Juniper ink. You will get a shaded effect under the petals. Ink up a leaf from the stamp set with Juniper ink and stamp two on your cardstock with your mask still in place. Remove the mask and stamp the center of the flower with Buttercup Ink. Stamp the saying in the lower/right hand corner with Black Ink. Use your favorite adhesive to put the card together in the layout shown in the photo.
