My Stamp & Scrapbook Room

Pin It I always love to see what other people do with their craft rooms and I bet you do too.  I hope you feel inspired!  This room originally had white walls and yucky green carpet.  I designed the room and my wonderful husband installed the cabinets we purchased from Lowes.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

My Stamp Room

Close up of desk

My tool caddies from IKEA - I wanted easy access to them, but didn't want them on my desk.

My desk drawer full of accents & Ribbon Rounds

Helper #1 (Jack) next to my 12"x12" hanging file folders

These hanging file folder carts are from Joanns.com. I love them because I can roll them close to my desk, push them back, or take them with me to a crop.  Every CTMH color has its own file that is labeled with the color name and a heart stamped next to it in the matching color for easy viewing.  (They are organized by season.)

Helper #2 (Coeuri)

My stamp shelves!  I love being able to see my stamps, but traditional shelving didn't make sense for my wonderful Close to My Heart Acrylix stamps.  My solution - Cap Moulding!  (See next photo)

Side view of cap moulding. This is traditionally used to fit on top of beadboard as a chair rail.  I flipped it upside down and my husband tacked it onto the wall with a brad nailer.

My Closet

I "designed" the closet so my daughter could have all of her craft supplies on the bottom shelf, within reach. Since we've organized all of her things into bins, she actually keeps her side of the room clean!  The paper bins below this shelf hold retired CTMH papers for both her and I to share.

Helper #3 - I love having a space where she can join me! She loves to craft just like her mommy.  This photo also shows the shelves that house my business forms.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my room!

Love your room! The space under your cabinets w/ the little drawers and paper trays...did that come as part of your cabinet set? I love that!!!! And I love the space savers from IKEA...now I wish my house was much bigger!

Are your carts the ones that are from Cropper Hopper? The heavy duty ones?

Using the cap molding to hold your stamps is a fantastic idea. I know mine would get more use if I could just glance over and see what I had. If I ever get a scrap room of my own I will have to remember that.

Fantastic room! I do have a question - do your rent your husband out? lol. He did a beautiful job!

Thanks everyone! It really is a fun room. The tricky part is keeping it clean because I tend to spread my things out. Here are the answers to your questions:
1) The paper trays and drawers were a separate purchase than the cabinet itself, however they are attached to the cabinet and are made to look like it's all one unit.

2) Juel, yes they are the heavy duty Cropper Hopper rolling carts shown here: http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat323863&PRODID=prd28638
You need to purchase the file folders separately from Joanns.

Wow! Gorgeous room! I am in the starting process of getting a craft room (scrapbooking, painting, and sewing) so any ideas are very helpful! Love the idea for the cap mouldings!

Just. Beautiful.
I'm green with envy! Your cabinets are beautiful and well thought out. I love the rolling carts for your paper, out when and where you need them, but tucked away out of sight when you don't. Genious!

I do have one question, what kind of bags (or what is it) are you storing the stamps in? Where can I find that?

Angela said...
