March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - "A Little Everything"

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! Just jump on in and join the fun! How does it work? Below you will find a sample of my artwork that uses the March Stamp of the Month "A Little Everyting," plus a link to another consultant's blog which will have another sample.  She will then have another link to another blog showing even more artwork using this fantastic set. All in all, you should be able to see about 50-60 different samples! Now let's get started! If you have come from Kami Welter's blog then you are on the right track.

The You Rock papers work beautifully with this fun stamp set.  I used a piece of 4 1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock which is one half of a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, but cut vertically instead of horizontally.  Then I just layered the papers at the top and stamped a piece of white cardstock for the bottom.  The edges of the white piece is also inked with a Sunflower ink pad.  I inked up the star stamps from the You Rock Workshops on the Go kit* with the same Sunflower Ink Pad and rolled the edges in a Goldrush pad to give it dimension.  I used 3-D foam tape to pop them up on the card.  The very last step was to use a glue pen to outline each star and add a little Prisma Glitter over the top.  You can make this card, and a more feminine version at my next workshop on Saturday, March 13th.  Just let me know if you're in the Western Washington Area and would like to attend.  See below for the ingredients list and the next blog to hop over to for more March Stamp of the Month Ideas.

Feb Stamp of the Month: Piece of Cake with the Hearts for Haiti Special

Here is another card from my workshop yesterday.  It's super quick and is very versatile!  I combined the Topstitches papers with the February Stamp of the Month: Piece of Cake, plus I used the Spring Textured Cardstock (Hearts for Haiti Special) on the left side.  It really gives the simple card that extra interest it needs.  I used the sanding block on the textured cardstock to give it a distressed look and show its wonderful white core.  I hope you enjoy it!

Flap Card using Topstitch Papers & February Stamp of the Month: Piece of Cake!

You can make this card at my workshop this Saturday!  (See my post below for details.)

My upline, Linda Roberts, sent me an adorable flap card for my 13th anniversary with CTMH and I was excited to give it a try as well. I used the Topstitch Paper Packet and one of my favorite Stamp of the Months - Piece of Cake.  Yes, that is Liquid Applique with Prisma Glitter as the cupcake frosting!  It's amazing what a little sparkle can do!  The circle flap and the piece that has the background paper on it has a small magnet attached so when the card is closed, the magnet holds it in place.  You can find all of these products on my website: http://www.angelat.myctmh.com/.  The instructions are here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/flap_card/
Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day

Here are the two Valentine's Day cards that I made for my kiddos. The first one is for my little girl and it uses the Unforgettable Papers with the Childhood Portrait stamp set.  Hopefully you can see that I added some Prisma Glitter with the Glue Pen to the heart too.  It's amazing what a little glitter can do to a card!
Here is the card I made for my son.  He liked this airplane stamp so much that he used them for his own Valentines, so I knew he would like this card.  I used the Playin' Hard and So Lucky stamp sets with Red Barn cardstock and inks, plus an old sheet of Gray Wool Background Paper.  I was in a little bit of a hurry, but I think it turned out pretty nice for an 8 year old.  :o)

Hearts for Haiti Textured Cardstock Example

I am so excited about the Hearts for Haiti campaign this month!  Here is a card that I made using textured cardstock and one of my most used stamp sets, Soul Mates.  I used Crystal Blue textured cardstock, Chocolate cardstock, Buttercup cardstock, and coordinating ink pads.  I stamped the heart with chocolate ink onto white cardstock and cut it out.  Then I sponged it with Crystal Blue and Buttercup ink and used foam tape to pop it out from the card.  One thing I LOVE about Close to My Heart's textured cardstock is that is has a white core so when you use the sanding block, it really gives it a wonderful distressed look as you can see from the sample.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Color Inspiration - February Stamp of the Month

Pin It My Sister-in-Law's birthday is tomorrow and I found this adorable lunchbox for her.  I decided to make a set of cards to put inside the lunchbox, so what better set to use than the February Stamp of the Month: Piece of Cake!?  There are four cards and envelopes inside this clear acrylic box.  I also used White Daisy, Black, and Sweet Leaf cardstock with a black ink pad.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I did use foam tape under the Sweet Leaf layer which really helps add an element of interest to such a plain card.  So simple, but I love the color combo!  Here are some photos:
